A Message from Carole Gill

I write stories of the paranormal, horror, and love. I'm the creator of Louis Darton, a strong vampire with a dark, tortured past. Come journey with me as I help Louis find love and fight his ultimate nemesis, the evil, demonic Eco.

Know what I want to do? I want to take gothic romance where it's never been! I want to shock and thrill you and leave you wanting more.

The battle between good vs. evil is central to my fiction and there is no fudging over the evil. Evil is evil. There can be love as well or even just the hope of love, but whatever there is, my fiction is never predictable. I don't think fiction should be.

If readers want darkest gothic horror with romantic elements, then look no further!

Dark Worlds, Dark Love

It's a slogan of mine and I realize if I had to break down my writing into four words those are the four I would choose. Those of you who have read The House on Blackstone Moor know that even in the most unrelenting darkness there can be the hope of love.

I mean, let's face it, people fall in love during wars and the most desperate of situations. So it's true, even in the nightmare of war, passions may still be aroused and love and desire can and do exist. Desperate measures for desperate times.

With respect to my fiction, my tormented demon spawn and vampire, Louis Darton has been damned from the womb through no fault of his own. He committed no outrage, no horrific sin. Yet, it is his fate to be tormented and not only that, he must exist forever!

In the next two books in THE BLACKSTONE VAMPIRE SERIES, there is a lot more darkness and a lot more love as well as lust and some pretty shocking things! Just sayin'.

Unholy Testament 1 was released in November. Unholy Testament 2, will be released in early 2013.  Eco, the evil and mad demon spawn is featured. Eco is, as you remember, Louis' most hated enemy.

So what is this 'testament?' Well, it is an accounting of all the sins Eco has committed in his entire existence. It is presented to the woman he loves. The book is so huge it is actually two books!

I love doing the series, and have a fourth and final book already sketched out. It happens to connect perfectly to the end of Unholy Testament, Book 2!
There are surprises and, well, you're going to love it if you're a fan of dark gothic romantic fiction.

Someone recently wrote to me and said they love the classics, in fact this person mentioned Jane Eyre. She said she loved it, although it needed a lot more darkness.

She has come aboard my train and knows the ride is just beginning!

Enter my dark world of dark love. What's exciting about safety? Don't you want to feel the thrill of fear along with the passion? Do you want your heart to be safe or do you want to tread on the wild side?

Explore through my fiction the darkest shadows of your own nightmares. You never know what you might find there!

  1. Oooooo, I'll take the wild side and the dark side, LOL. "Dark worlds, Dark love" is a great slogan, Carole. So many sexy vampires have lost their scariness altogether, and I love writers like you who embrace that part of it. Cheers!
